OWNERSHIP & CONTROL
Can a foreigner own 100%?
Yes. SARL, SARL-AU, or SA across nearly all sectors. No local partner. Restrictions only for agricultural land and certain media.
Can I own real estate?
Yes for urban property. Agricultural land requires a VNA certificate from CRI to reclassify for business use.
MONEY IN, MONEY OUT
How do I guarantee profit repatriation?
Fund via Convertible Dirham Account (foreign currency, declared to Office des Changes). Generates Attestation de Change — legal passport to repatriate dividends (after 10% WHT) and capital freely.
Are there capital controls?
Managed regime, not closed. Documented foreign investments flow freely. Locally-generated dirham outflows need Office des Changes authorization.

How fast can I incorporate?
7 working days for a standard SARL via CRI one-stop shop.
Minimum capital?
No minimum for SARL. SA requires 300,000 MAD.
Can I run it remotely?
Yes, but need one Moroccan-resident manager for tax/CNSS purposes. We provide this.
TAX (2026)
Corporate tax rate?
20% standard up to 100M MAD; 35% above. Exporters: 5-year 0% holiday. Free zone/CFC: 0% for 5 years. Dividend WHT: 10%.
VAT exemptions?
Yes — equipment imports for investment projects are typically VAT and customs exempt under the Charter.
INCENTIVES
Maximum grant?
30% of eligible investment, stacking all bonuses.
Minimum investment to qualify?
Main: 50M MAD + 50 jobs, or 150 jobs. SME: from 1M MAD. Strategic: 2B MAD+.
Can startups access incentives?
Yes — Innov Invest, QIMAM, Tamwilcom (80% coverage), Casa Smart Start, Intelaka, CFC Digital License.
DIASPORA (MRE)
Best entry point as MRE?
MDM Invest Fund. Contribute 25%+ in forex; State adds 10% grant capped at 5M MAD. Sectors since July 2024: industry, education, health, hospitality, digital, tourism.
Dual citizenship?
Yes. Morocco fully permits dual nationality.
Lost transfer documents?
Ten-Year Rule allows up to 2M MAD/year even with imperfect documentation.
